Description:

In 2003, the Greater Mankato Chamber of Commerce initiated an innovative housing program to purchase and rehabilitate homes in an effort to improve affordable housing opportunities in the community. This program encourages employers to support the concept of developing workforce housing through the adoption of an Employer-Assisted Housing (EAH) plan. EAH plans are designed to help employers achieve business goals while helping employees with housing. Bryan Paulsen has served as the chairperson for the Chamber’s group that is spearheading this effort. Paulsen Architects also provides architectural and interior design services for the complete rehabilitation of the homes included in the program on a pro-bono and/or substantially reduced fee basis.
