Genesis Shelter is a private, non-profit organization that was established in 1994 by 16 faith groups as an emergency shelter exclusively for newborn babies and their families, located for several years within the campus of The Temple. When the shelter was relocated due to redevelopment of The Temples masterplan, renovation of a 22,000 sf warehouse distribution facility were redesigned and renovated including site improvements to accommodate 18 families. Also included in the scope is a child development center, administrative offices, and an expansion space for up to 6 additional families.
