| Collective Roots is a nonprofit organization based in East Palo Alto, CA. Its many programs serve to empower both youth and adults to become proactive leaders in changing our local food system. We run the East Palo Alto Community Farmer's Market and a vibrant, comprehensive multi-site garden education program. Our 1-acre school garden at the East Palo Alto Charter School is a stunning example of educational garden spaces, and we are expanding and replicating our programs to underserved schools across the Peninsula. |

| Landscape and Outdoor Teaching Kitchen design for our 1-acre school garden at the East Palo Alto Charter School. The garden is mature, but we are lacking in fun, interactive educational elements - there are so many creative things you can build in a garden, and we want to engage a designer that can capture that and help us launch a capital campaign to build out the garden space to include a kitchen and teaching space, possibly more! |
