| The Remedee Organization has been inspired to respond to the severity of the current economic climate by creating The Remedee Center, a multi-service center concept that will operate as a centralized source of information, both disseminating and offering a variety of resources. The Remedee Center is a space that will provide those who have recently lost their jobs, homes, savings and benefits with the most basic of needs. Our target is the middle class who are now struggling to survive and ineligible for government aid as the result of a system designed only to provide poverty level assistance. With this in mind, we hope to take the Remedee Center concept even further by gradually rolling out four specific areas that will eventually address every aspect of life: Creating Opportunity, Knowledge, Wellness, and Community. The Center would serve as a point of contact for individuals to navigate both government agencies and community-based organizations while finding peace, comfort and stability in the multitude of offerings and services provided. We envision an unemployment center that offers legal services, housing referrals, foreclosure/loan guidance, educational classes, a medical center, a wellness center that offers yoga, meditation, acupuncture, workshops, an organic cafe, and a community center space for events, art, lectures, networking opportunities. |
